Vaccinations are a very important part of journeying abroad and must be considered well in advance of your travels. The first thing to do when planning your journey is to get in touch with your local nurse and find out exactly what vaccinations are required for the part of the world you are planning to visit. Once you have a list of the injections, you can then begin to book your journey and plan your trip!
Speak to your nurse before you book vaccinations
The reason you must visit your nurse before you even book the flights is that some vaccines are staggered over a period of time and cannot be rushed through the week before you leave. Hepatitis B for example is done over a six month time frame and is considered an important vaccine for most third world countries. If you do not receive your vaccines aver the correct amount of time then you are at high risk of catching a disease when abroad.
